With all the gravity inside the space, it was equally important to embody joy and celebration and give opportunities for a culture to form around the exhibition.
Two large public gatherings brought hundreds to dance, eat, smoke, drink, and generally enjoy a space that just a few years ago would have felt uninviting, even unsafe.
